Enigma is an electronic musical project founded in Germany by Michael Cretu, David Fairstein and Frank Peterson in 1990. The Romanian-born Cretu conceived the Enigma project while working in Germany, but has based his recording studio A.R.T. Studios in Ibiza, Spain, since the early 1990s until May 2009, where he has recorded all of Enigma's studio releases to date. Cretu is both the composer and the producer of the project. His former wife Sandra often provided vocals on Enigma tracks. Jens Gad co-arranged and played guitar on three of the Enigma albums. Peter Cornelius also contributed to Enigma during the 1990s.

Seven studio albums have been produced under the name of the project.

Nautilus (from Greek ναυτίλος, 'sailor') is the common name of marine creatures of cephalopod family Nautilidae, the sole extant family of the superfamily Nautilaceae and of its smaller but near equal suborder, Nautilina. It comprises six living species in two genera, the type of which is the genus Nautilus. Though it more specifically refers to species Nautilus pompilius, the name chambered nautilus is also used for any species of the Nautilidae.

Nautilidae, both extant and extinct, are characterized by involute or slightly evolute shells that are generally smooth, with compressed or depressed whorl sections, straight to sinuous sutures, and a tubular, generally central siphuncle.[2] Having survived relatively unchanged for millions of years, nautiluses represent the only living members of the subclass Nautiloidea, and are often considered "living fossils."

The name "Nautilus" originally referred to the Argonauta, otherwise known as paper nautiluses, because the ancients believed these animals used their two expanded arms as sails (cf. Aristotle Historia Animalium 622b). However, this octopus is not closely related to the Nautiloidea.Source

'God particle' sounds like coins in a wine glass, scientists claim

Scientists at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) say they have replicated the noise that may be created when the Higgs Boson particle is made - the sound of coins spinning in a wine glass.

The LHC is being used to attempt to produce the particle – nicknamed the "God particle" – which scientists believe will help explain how the universe came into being.

Physicists have yet to make a Higgs boson particle, but they now believe that when it is created it will sound like several coins clattering around the bowl of a wine glass.

The team working at the LHC in Switzerland hopes that if and when it is successful in creating a Higgs boson by crashing protons into each other at super fast speeds, it will be easier to detect because they will know what to listen for.
Scientists used information from computer models to calculate what the creation of the particle will sound like, a process called "sonification".
LHC Sound, a group of scientists, musicians and artists in London, has used data on the particles and matched it to qualities such as pitch and volume to determine how the collision will sound.
Dr Lily Asquith, who models data for the LHC and has contributed to the sound project, wrote on her blog: "Sound seems the perfect tool with which to represent the complexity of the data.
"Our ears are superb at locating the source and location of sounds relative to one another ... We also have an incredible ability to notice slight changes in pitch or tempo over time and to recognise patterns in sound after hearing them just once."

This video mainly consists of clouds and other more natural scenery. The song was composed using what Brian Eno used in some of his earlier ambient works, 'Music for Airports'. The album used a series of tape loops which would repeat what was played but delayed long enough to be heard as a new phrase. Eno probably picked it up from Steve Reich or Terry Riley as well as introduced the idea to Robert Fripp. Mr. Fripp then called it Frippertronics. This song is from the album 'Trajectories' which can be found at the diatonis website with the song name of 'One To Be'.

The Dreaming Sky Priest The video was shot near 'Devils Punchbowl' in the Mohave Desert (Antelope Valley). The area is about a mile or so from San Andreas Fault as well as near Edwards Air Force Base. There is no actual video from the Punchbowl itself. It has been said that a number of ufo sightings have occurred near this area. It was probably from Edwards or some other natural effect from the San Andreas Fault. It’s an interesting place to visit. The music is from ‘Ambient Life’ by diatonis.

That is, how probable it is that the numbers are generated as they are. The theory is that the Global Consciousness of all the people of the world affect these random numbers... Maybe they aren't quite as random as we thought.

The musical project «Rhythm of Mankind & Nature» was founded in 2000. Its purpose was creating the mood music able to heighten the listener’s perception of the surrounding World. Composed as based on electronic sounding, the music is harmoniously supplemented by live instruments and vocal, creating both melancholic, warm, gentle pieces causing delight, the feeling of flight, cosiness and comfort and depressive melodies able to remind one of complicated life problems.

In 2003 the project founder, a Russian composer/producer Roman Pavlov, concluded a contract with the English publishing house – Label Raw42. The result of cooperation was the release of album Relax – collected compositions in discs Raw42 and BE52 Records, as well as the advertising of Isabella Rossellini perfume.

From 2006 Roman has organized own small label ROMAN Music Records for a narrow circle of composers, and has signed the contract with distributor Isolation Network Electronic Music / BMI, San-Francisco, USA.
